Can’t believe we almost missed this great Talk of the Town profile on our old friend Scott Campbell in last week’s New Yorker!

Here’s the video we made w/ Scott earlier this year in case you missed it…

LACMA Los Angeles County Museum of Art is just one of the many museums that are hotspots for the new #Somebody app. Go to somebodyapp.com and start your own!

Send us a moments with your #somebody!

"The app does not sell any product overtly but, rather, random human encounters, which is ironic given the conventional wisdom that technology is replacing human encounters. Once downloaded, you text a message to someone, but said message does not go to that someone; rather, it goes to a person closest to that someone who has also downloaded the app. The third party then has to agree to deliver the message for you — without knowing what it is. It could be embarrassing. It could be exciting. Who knows?"

Movie Making Trivia!!!

  • The app wasn’t done when the movie was shot, so a special version had to be made for the movie. It could only do the actions that happened in the scenes.
  • The incredible cinematographer, Sebastian Wintero, also shot Sia’s “Chandelier” video — we love that video.
  • Nicole Lynn, who delivers Yolanda’s message to Blanca, carries her cell phone in her bra. “It’s the only way I can feel it ring!” she says.
  • In the original script the last scene took place in a lesbian bar. If you look carefully you’ll notice red-headed Jessica is on a date with a girl in the restaurant…
  • Can you spot the Miu Miu clothes? Miranda worked hard to carefully integrate them in to their surroundings.
  • Anthony the plant was puppeted  by Miranda’s assistant, Lee Noble. “It was hard to keep it ‘planty,’ ” Lee says. “My hands were shaking.”
